City of York Council garden waste collections
Fortnightly garden waste collections in York are provided by the City of York Council to some eligible households for free. These only run from the middle of March until early December. You must use one green wheelie bin to store your waste before collection but they don’t accept soil, turf, rubble, or large branches.
